Profile

I’m a 23-year old filmmaker focusing on writing & directing. For the past few years I’ve also worked as an editor, sound designer and composer.

I believe great stories have a healing power, and that it’s why we keep going to the movies – to get insight into our experiences in life by sharing them with other people. The same reason I want to entertain and get better at it.

Recently I directed a short scifi-drama movie Place to Stay, which I also wrote and assistant produced. In June 2010 I graduated from a BA (Hons) Film production course at The Arts University College at Bournemouth, where I co-produced two graduation films: ‘Cruise Blues’ (directed by Amin Müller) and ‘Blue Palace’ (directed by Kimberly Jarrett) – the latter we shot in India as a co-production with The Film and Television Institute of India. In 2009 I took part in the great experience that is Berlinale Talent Campus.

In addition to working in post-production and on sets, I have experience in theatre & circus productions, and pulling off high-aiming zero-budget projects and student films. The aim is to move on to narrative movies and television both in Finland and elsewhere.

You can watch my latest directing work in the portfolio and say hello by good old electronic mail.
